Yesterday, our Christopher Campbell shared rumors that an Australian actress was in talks to play Wonder Woman in the upcoming Justice League of America flick. While he said it probably wouldn't be Jessica Biel, Warner Brothers wasn't listening. Variety has reported that the former 7th Heaven actress is going to put on the powerful accessories and become the famous Amazonian superheroine who flies around in invisible jets and golden-lassos bad guys -- that is, if talks don't go sour. Methinks she won't let them.

The model here is Sydney Moon. I saw this pic and instantly knew this was as close to a real life Cassie Sandsmark as I could get. I also knew that I was not up to replicating the corset. So I replaced the color of the corset from blue to red and went from there.

From time to time I get requests for specific pieces. Folks see my work either here or out on some of the boards I post on and like my style enough to request a special project. I turn down no one, but sometimes I just can't home in on what the writer is shooting for. Bill Johnson wrote in last week and requested this great idea with some specific requests. Lucy Pinder must be the base pic model and he wanted a TOS era red starfleet uniform. She must have a phaser and tricorder...and a lightsaber! I just loved the idea! Here's the finished product. 'Supergirl' Being Resurrected, But On Small Screen

So guess who's coming to Smallville? No, it won't be Brandon Routh aimlessly searching for the set of the next Bryan Singer-helmed Superman flick ("Hey Brandon, I heard it was over there -- just stop when the sign says 2012"). Nope, instead the CW network has announced that Supergirl will join the cast of Smallville as it heads into its seventh season, and will make her first appearance (as Kara, Clark's cousin) in the premiere episode. Sweet! Now I just need to actually watch Smallville. The role isn't cast yet (so we can't start dissecting the actress, debating whether she's a good fit or not), but I'll bet the bank folks will be watching to see if she tests well in hopes Supergirl can return to the big screen one day.

Apparently, the writers will be sticking with Supergirl's original storyline; how she was born on Krypton as daughter to Zor-El, Jor-El's brother. If I remember correctly, in the comics Zor-El sends Supergirl to earth after the people in her city (which somehow managed to survive the initial explosion) are killed off by Kryptonite. Not sure if they'll go that route, but one of the cool things (for you fans of the show) is that Kara will come to earth with the ability to fly, which is something Clark has not developed yet. Upon arriving in Smallville, Kara will butt heads with Clark, develop a little "thing" with Jimmy Olsen and draw attention from Lex. As Zap2it points out, Supergirl will not be the first DC character to make an appearance on the show; in previous episodes Green Arrow, Aquaman, The Flash, Martian Manhunter, Cyborg and Braniac all showed up in some capacity. Since I don't watch the show, I can't geek out with you on this one, but the whole Supergirl thing seems like a cool addition. What do you fans think: Is Supergirl's appearance a good or a bad thing for the show?

Another Donna Troy piece, this time older as Troia. The model should be identifyable a mile away as Aria Giovanni. I've always wanted to try the starfield one piece and I think it worked out okay. Aria seems to be a good transition to a mature Donna from the model in my previous piece. I'd love to see a live action Troi film done by ILM with that damn costume!

BATMAN Movie News

We were all BIG fans of BATMAN BEGINS around here and it's been a while since I've updated information on the upcoming sequel to go into production in early 2007 for a 2008 release here are some of the confirmed facts.

-The Name of the film will be THE DARK KNIGHT

-Christian Bale, Katie Holmes, Gary Oldman and Michael Caine will all reprise their roles from the first film.

-The villian of the movie will indeed be the Joker this time played by Heath Ledger

-The character of Harvey Dent will be cast any minute now and will set up the villian of Two Face for the third movie. Frontrunner for the role is Liev Schreiber (my personal favorite as well)

DC Comics has announced that a new Batwoman will be introduced later this year. She is Kate Kane (Kathy Kane was the first Batgirl) and will be DC comics first lesbian character. The costume was designed by my man Alex Ross and combines elements from Barbara Gordon's Batgirl and Batman Beyond. Check out my first piece on the new Batwoman.
